We are overflowing with gratitude for God’s faithfulness throughout the whirlwind of the first three months of 2025! We thank our Heavenly Father for His constant provision, guidance, and the incredible ways He has moved. Here are a few highlights:
Oceanside House Church Launch
We are thrilled to launch our NewSong house church in Oceanside! After much prayer and dreaming, we are excited to see it come to fruition. Discipleship + Testimony
The Lord has been bringing people into our lives who are hungry for Jesus and ready to grow in their faith. We’ve already seen a beautiful outpouring of hearts ready for discipleship, and it’s been an amazing privilege to journey with them.
One such encounter was with Logan. We met him at the beach, where he was desperately trying to retrieve his phone, which had fallen into a deep crevice between the rocks. After some creative problem-solving with a clothes hanger (Sarah’s idea!), we successfully recovered it! During our conversation, we discovered that Logan is a young believer, passionate about Jesus, and seeking a church community. He is hungry to grow in his relationship with God, and we are excited to see how the Lord will use his life. This was a divine appointment, a reminder that God actively searches the earth for those who seek Him! It’s just so fun to witness the Holy Spirit at work!
Worship Leader Training
Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to lead a worship-leading training conference for our house churches in Tucson. The Lord powerfully revealed to us that worship leading is not a performance but hosting His presence. It’s like setting a table before Jesus at a family potluck, where everyone brings their unique dish to share with the King of Kings, our guest of honor!
Worship leading is about creating an environment where hearts can connect with God and everyone can participate in offering their sacrifices of prayer, thanksgiving, and praise. This experience has profoundly transformed our understanding of worship music and its purpose.
CANOPI Podcast
We are so excited to announce that we have been recording episodes for the CANOPI Podcast! We are producing content in both English and Spanish, aiming to reach a wide audience, focusing on Kingdom culture and church reform. We have already recorded six powerful episodes and are eager to share them with you soon! Stay tuned for the release as we share testimonies and insights designed to prepare God’s people for revival!
Sarah’s Impact
I am incredibly proud of my wife, Sarah, and her dedication to the Lord. She has been playing professional volleyball for the San Diego Mojo, and beyond her athletic achievements, she is making a profound impact on her team. Even though, for the first time in her career, she found herself not in the starting lineup and sometimes not even playing, she refused to give up. Instead, she is giving her best effort to her teammates and coaches. She has been like a chaplain to her team, pouring into her teammates on and off the court and even leading some Bible studies. Now, with 10 games left in the season, she has found herself as the starting setter! Sarah is a powerful voice of exhortation and has a beautiful heart for discipleship that will play out seamlessly with her growing desire to coach and impact the next generation. Blog Faith in Action
I’ve really enjoyed writing these weekly blogs, encouraging Christians everywhere that our faith is not merely intellectual; it cannot stay inside our minds but must be lived out in the material world with bold faith in action! So far, I’ve released 15 posts on various spiritual disciplines, and lately, I have been writing a series called “Enemies of Grace,” discussing ways in which we can be subtly lulled to walk in our flesh rather than by the Spirit. I hope to help you stay alert and identify these unassuming dangers so you can walk in victory in Christ. I try to post every Friday, so stay tuned on
Preparation for Mission Trips in July & September
We are also in the early stages of preparing for mission trips to Costa Rica and Mexico, where we provide leadership training and marriage conferences to pastors in underdeveloped areas, as well as lots of street evangelism!
